Karl is an accomplished Advanced Sommelier with a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry. He is currently Director of Membership at RdV Winery in Delaplane, VA. His early career experience includes Head Sommelier at the renowned Minibar by José Andrés restaurant in Washington, D.C., under the guidance of Master Sommelier Andy Myers. He oversaw the wine program for the restaurant, creating unique wine pairings for the molecular gastronomy-inspired cuisine. Karl also served as Beverage Director for Rose’s Restaurant group, where he curated a diverse and exciting wine program that complemented the restaurant group's varied Michelin rated restaurants and eclectic menus. He is known for his passion for wine and for exploring different wine regions around the world, sharing his knowledge and expertise and creating unique culinary travel experiences for clients.  

In addition to providing luxury travel advisor support to clients, Nick focuses on growth, strategic partnerships, and operations of the business.  He specializes in the luxury cruise and group events space. 
Prior to joining Sojourn, Nick's professional career spanned 35 years, 6 companies, and 14 relocations around the U.S.  He held a variety of HR and operational leadership roles for several fortune 500 companies along with owning and growing his own consulting and executive search business.  Nick has traveled extensively, gaining an appreciation and love for new experiences, cultures, and friends yet to be made.
